TERMS & CONDITIONS
All prices on A1 Glass Splashbacks website include VAT at the current rate. On occasions, we have promotional offers where we offer FREE delivery and FREE fixing options. Other than these offers, delivery charges are added to your form when it is completed. The following locations will incur additional delivery charges: N Ireland, Eire, Scottish Highlands and Offshore Islands. We reserve the right to adjust prices, offers, goods and specifications of goods on A1 Glass Splashbacks at our discretion at any time before (but not after) we accept your order.
Your order may be changed at any time up until payment is received as the manufacturing process will then begin. You should be aware that with all toughened glass products, there is a +/- 2mm tolerance on any dimension. If you are sending sizes or templates for your panels we cannot be held accountable if the panels don’t fit, provided they fall within these tolerances.
All our Coloured glass splashbacks are made by back spraying glass with a specifically manufactured glass paint to your specification. If you intend to place a repeat order you should be aware that there may be a slight colour variation from a new batch and for this reason we cannot guarantee that the colour will be the same. In these circumstances, you should inform us before you order that you wish to match to a previous order and we can try to work with you to do that. This applies to decorated glass as well.
Please note that the colours displayed on our colour/decoration picker on the website should only to be used as a guide. We do not use domestic household paint as these paints are not suitable for glass. We mix our own paint as close as we can to the formula required but if you wish to be sure of the colour of the glass you will receive, it is strongly advisable to order a sample, as we cannot guarantee that our paint will match other paint manufacturers. Please be careful when picking colours from a PC, as all PC and tablets can display a variance to the actual colour wanted. Ideally you should order RAL, Farrow and Ball or Dulux colour references.
MEASURING & FITTING
The Customer is solely responsible for ensuring that site is suitably prepared ready for accurate measuring and installation. Electrical sockets, telephone points, utensil racks, appliances, cabinetry, worktops and all fixtures and fittings must be fitted before the accurate measuring can take place and cannot be moved or altered before installation, as the product cannot be changed once it is cut and toughened. The product will always have straight edges and cut outs which means that walls and worktops must be perfectly level and plumb. They should be flat and sealed where necessary, without indents or bulges, as any of these discrepancies could cause unwanted gaps.
The company takes no responsibility for any unprepared surfaces resulting in an unsatisfactory finish. Painter’s caulk or silicone is applied to the outer perimeter of the Product for sealing and waterproofing purposes. Seals may vary dependent on the joints between joinery, walls and worktops and on them being level and plumb (see above).
We would advise that our fitters are specialists in measuring and fitting glass splashbacks. The removal of electrical sockets, tap heads and cupboard pelmets or any other fixed items are not part of our work brief. Where possible we will assist in the removal and refitting of these items, in doing so we can’t accept any responsibility for any damage incurred.
PROVIDING YOUR OWN TEMPLATES
Should you wish to send us your own wooden templates please do so to the address found on our contact page. We will make your glass to the exact size and shape of your templates to an accuracy of +/- 2mm. Please note that should you choose to send us your own templates you do so at your own risk. We will not be held liable for loss or damage of your templates in the factory or be held liable for any associated costs you may have incurred in getting your templates manufactured.
DISTANCE SELLING REGULATIONS
In accordance with the distance selling regulations “for the supply of goods made to the consumer’s own specification and measurements”, your orders may not be cancelled once payment is received. However, we reserve the right to make this decision, as we may be able to issue a refund if the manufacturing process has not begun (as mentioned above)
Delivery prices quoted are for mainland UK only. Delivery to the following places are achievable but will incur an additional charge: N Ireland, Eire, Scottish Highlands and Offshore Islands. If an order is placed for delivery to these areas, we will be in touch to quote the additional charge.
The total cost of your order including delivery or survey and installation will be detailed in your invoice. Payment may be made using Credit / Debit cards.
RETURNS AND REFUNDS POLICY
We use our own delivery service, throughout the mainland. Please check your panels for any visible signs of damage before signing for the delivery. Any items damaged in transit should be noted at time of delivery; if possible delivery should be refused and returned to us.
We reserve the right to repair any defects. If the glass has been fitted we are unable to offer any refund, replacement or compensation. If the splashbacks do not fit we cannot issue you a refund if the measurements match the measurements on your invoice, so please check your order prior to completing payment. This only applies to your own sizes and templates.
Please ensure that you have thoroughly checked your order before signing for it. Once signed for, any claims made by you will be validated at our discretion and need to be raised within 24 hours of receipt. Where you have asked us to leave your order in a safe place at your premises or with a friend or neighbour, you do so at your own risk. We recommend that you have the friend or neighbour check your order on your behalf.
